Joshua Newton is a roving reporter based in Cochin, a port town in southern India. A former freelance with Associated Press, he has extensive experience in reporting on social issues and interacting with people of different cultures. He has been at various times, the India Correspondent of Aviation Daily (McGraw- Hill, USA), Gemini News Service (London) and Asian Executive ( Malaysia). Over the last 11 years, he has written on a host of subjects varying from travel, art, culture, activism etc, for Indian and international publications counting up to 50. With his old FM 2 and a borrowed Nikkor lens he has clicked out a couple of photo-essays. Newton is the Director of Media For People and Commune News Service. Tenny Varghese Filmmaker / Graphic Designer Tenny Varghese runs his own freelance business in digital imaging for the past 3 years (Digital8). He has worked as an assistant director to ten documentary / short films, a few of them shot for BBC and Television France TVF 1. Rituals of Love and Millennium Series were his most notable associations. Latest from Tenny is a humour music video Chulli, which is already winning rave reviews. Bini K. Joseph is a television reporter with Indian newschannel, Jeevan TV, and works on health, special stories beat. She worked with medium papers and magazines for three years before foraying into advertising writing. Chucking the daily affair of market-savvy adjective writing, Bini Joseph is now gladly reporting health stories that affect peoples lives. But there is a borderline to everything you do in a channel dependent on corporate sponsors, she feels. With experience in radio writing / reporting and still photography as well, she is a communication professional for last eight years. She lives in Cochin with her husband and their three-year-old son. At MFP, Bini will look after the production execution, accounts and also act as a general coordinator.
